Auburn Hires Hugh Freeze

Hugh Freeze was named the 31st head football coach in Auburn's 129-year history on Nov. 28, 2022, marking the beginning of a new era for the Tigers.

Known for his God-fearing family man demeanor and tenacious recruiting ability, Freeze brings a wealth of experience to the Plains, having previously led Liberty University to unprecedented success, including a top-25 ranking and a bowl game victory.

"I am incredibly honored and humbled to be the head football coach at Auburn University," said Freeze. "This is a dream come true for me and my family, and I can't wait to get to work building on the rich tradition of Auburn football."
