Cleveland Cavaliers Finish 2nd in NBA Eastern Conference

51-31 Record in 2017-18 Season

The Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James, finished the 2017-18 season with a 51-31 record, good for second place in the NBA Eastern Conference. The Cavs were eliminated in the NBA Finals by the Golden State Warriors in four games.

James led the Cavs in scoring (27.5 points per game), rebounding (8.6 rebounds per game), and assists (9.1 assists per game). Other key players for the Cavs included Kevin Love, who averaged 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, and Kyrie Irving, who averaged 24.4 points per game.

The Cavs' success in the 2017-18 season was due in large part to their strong defense. The Cavs allowed just 101.1 points per game, which was the fourth-best mark in the NBA.

Despite their success in the regular season, the Cavs were unable to win the NBA championship in 2018. The Warriors proved to be too tough a matchup for the Cavs, who were swept in the NBA Finals.

The Cavs will look to bounce back in the 2018-19 season and make another run at the NBA championship. James is still one of the best players in the NBA, and the Cavs have a strong supporting cast around him. If the Cavs can stay healthy and play to their potential, they should be one of the favorites to win the Eastern Conference in 2019.
